TASK: Apply 5 words into sentences today and underline the words you have used.

The type of poem we are focussing on this week are LIMERICKS.

Remember, when writing a Limerick poem we need to think of the beat and rhyme.

Yesterday we began by looking at rhyming words for line 1 & 2

Here is my example:

They need to have the beat above – (5 or 6 beats)

Paul is tall so I am thinking he might bang his head!

What words rhyme with head?

bed, dead, fed, red, said, ted

TASK: Think of line 3 & 4 that rhyme

TASK: Now, complete line 5 – it needs to rhyme with line 1 & 2
