TASK: Today I would like you to look closely at your spellings and identify the vowels in each word. Write each word out neatly and then complete the tally chart.


Today I would like you to practise writing the days of the week and months of the year in your neatest handwriting. Remember they all need capital letters.


Today I would like you to watch the video below of me reading an example of a diary entry. Listen very carefully to the information I talk about.

TASK: To look for key features and create a success criteria (what all good recounts should have)

CHALLENGE: Can you think of 3 more past tense verbs and write them in a sentence using 1st person (I, my, me)

TASK: To create a tally chart of your choice and explain you findings.

Some of the things you could do to make a tally chart:

-How many skips can you do before you stop?

-What colour cars drive past your house?

-What colour object do you pull out of a bag – socks, marbles, pens

-Which coin do you pull out of a bag?

Can you analyse your data?

Which had most? Which had least?

Can you order your results smallest to largest?
